Hello

Two contentious issues in Cape Town, right now

Rondebosch Common

Can we not do something about the place?  I've never understood why we can't improve on that grey piece of wind-blown scrubland,  a total miserable waste of prime land that could be given new life as a wonderful natural park for everyone!

Allow the tree-huggers to move in, rehabilitate whatever endangered flora & fauna exists there to another area and together with some excellent environmental and landscaping expertise, plant-up that prime piece of land with a selection of fabulous indigenous trees (to protect against that vicious S Easter), shrubs etc, creating natural walk-ways, cycle tracks, water features etc - much like they have done at the amazing Green Point Urban Park - if you haven't experienced the loveliness of the GPUP, go and have a look, it's awesome and it is possible!

 Chappies Toll Road

Can we not do something about the embarrassing in-fighting going on between the City and the 'concerned public'?  Who knows what the real story behind the story is......?

54 Million on an office block is just ludicrous! but we do need to preserve one of the most exquisite stretches of scenic beauty in the country, make it safe and get rid of those toll 'hokkies' on the road - what must visitors to this City think?

Cheers
jp
