Morning - recent scary stats, both food related, courtesy of The Week

  • 'China produced 50 million tonnes of pork in 2012 - more than half the world's total.  In 1980, the average Chinese person ate 14kgs of meat a year; now they eat almost 60kgs.  The average Briton eats 85kgs' - The Guardian.  Interestingly, South Africans consume far less meat than their fellow American, Australian or European countrymen
