- according to a recent Gallup poll which asked residents from 148 countries five questions about whether they were happy, Singaporeans are the most miserable people in the world (no chewing gum???). - and, the Office for National Statistics says that the divorce rate in England and Wales has fallen to it's lowest point since the '70s, dropping from 45% in 2005 to 42% in 2011, except for one group: the 'silver splitters'. The number of over-60s who have separated from their spouses has doubled in the last decade (and possibly moved to Panama/Paraguay?)
