- You must have seen the latest Google doodle, celebrating the German-born American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's 126th birthday, today. The building depicted in the doodle is the Crown Hall at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago that houses its College of Architecture, one of his most famous designs . Beautiful!
