- the man of the moment - Daniel Craig, having garnered rave reviews for his recent Bond movie Skyfall, has signed up to play the lead in the next two Bond movies, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Craig will earn 31 million pounds from these two movies, "making him the highest-paid 007 of all time". As ever, we wonder 'what one does with all those bucks??'

- amazing! 60 years after opening, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap celebrated it's 25,000th performance in London, recently. Christie's grandson was in the audience and was given the play's royalties for his ninth birthday. Lucky chap!
