Hello again - read an article in emeraldstreet.com about Winter dressing versus Summer dressing, going on about the "relish of a winter wardrobe" and the idea that "cold weather wear was more empowering".  This may be the case up North, but right now it's fresh air and flower-child time down this end of the globe, and loving it!

  • “At this time of year, shops are awash with warmer hues such as mustard, brown, plum and terracotta. These are earthy colours and we associate them with safety and survival” - bring on the soft pastels, white and sunny summer tones, go wild!

  • "we also find winter clothes more interesting from a design perspective? “Winter dressing can feel more creative as we can play with new lengths and layers, shapes and silhouettes" - simple, light, natural and airy fabrics, please!

  • “People tend to wear more black in winter, a colour which is associated with authority and power, so perhaps we feel more professional at this time of year" - unstructured, floaty, loose and light equals freedom - unleash your carefree inner hippie this Summer
